Elna Gardiner Fox, our sweet beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend, 86, of Circleville, Utah, passed away March 21, 2011 at her home in Circleville, Utah. She lived a long and fruitful life. Educated and accomplished in many things. She was born March 24, 1924, in Panguitch, Utah, to Fredirick George and Minnie Ameilia Batty Gardiner.
She earned a degree at Dixie College in St. George and worked at Hill Air Force Base building airplanes during WWII. She married Shirl D. Fox, March 21, 1946 in the Manti LDS Temple.
She is survived by her husband, Shirl D. Fox, Circleville; children, Shirlene (John) Latzke, West Valley, Sterling D.(Glenda) Fox, Diamond Valley; Shirl G. (Tina) Fox, Circleville; daughter-in-law, Kathy Fox, South Jordan; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents; son, Owen Karlyle Fox; brothers and sisters: Thelma (Carl) Heywood, George Gardiner, Eugene (Leila) Gardiner, Mary (Frank) Dalley, Murtle (Jay) Riggs, Florence (Arthur) Dalton.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. in the Circleville 1 st LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the ward chapel in Circleville on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Circleville Cemetery. Funeral directors, Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
