Graveside services for Elliott Deen Larsen, 25, who passed away December 7, 1941 during the attack on Pearl Harbor, will finally be held on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Monroe City Cemetery under the direction of Monroe Utah Stake President Joseph A. Cottle and the U.S. Navy.
Deen’s remains were recently identified through DNA testing using samples from his surviving sister and his niece.
He was born February 29, 1916 in Pioche, Nevada to Elliott and Tina Larsen. He is survived by his sister, Betty Lou Worley. His parents, a brother, Max (Maida) Larsen, and brother-in-law, Dr. William R. Worley Jr., have since passed away.
