Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Blewitt Jenkins passed away peacefully on December 14, 2018 in Ephraim, at the age of 85, of causes incident to age. She was born April 6, 1933 to Raymond Francis Blewitt and Anna Agnes Pochuvay in Follansbee, West Virginia. She married Kenneth Wayne Jenkins in 1955 and they had 4 children. They joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1966 and were sealed for eternity in the Salt Lake Temple in 1967. He preceded her in death in January 2002.
Elizabeth was known for her many talents: she was a passionate genealogist, an accomplished quilter, a fabulous cook, and a loving grandmother. She seemed to be her happiest when she had all of her children and grandchildren surrounding her enjoying a Sunday evening meal that always included her secret and superb spaghetti sauce. She had a beautiful alto singing voice, was a devoted member of the Church. She held multiple church callings throughout her life, she loved the scriptures, and passed on a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ to her children.
Elizabeth is survived by her 4 children: Ann (Evan) Whitaker, Laurie (Bruce) Miller, Kenneth Mitchell (Melanie) Jenkins, and Matthew (Mindee) Jenkins; 19 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bud; sisters: Donna and Coralee.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 21, 2018 at 11:00 am, in the Manti Tabernacle Relief Society Room, 90 S Main Manti, UT, where friends may call from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Interment in the Gunnison City Cemetery.
