Elaine Bennett Hendrickson returned to her Heavenly Father on September 11, 2017 after as short illness, in Monroe. She was born on August 7, 1917 in Holden, to Joseph and Hettie Jane Stevens Bennett. She married Leslie C. Hendrickson on September 12, 1941 in the Manti Temple. They were blessed with three children, Clair Leslie, Janice and Richard. He preceded her in death July 10, 1963.

Elaine was very active in her church holding many callings including Relief Society president, teacher. She served a mission to the Connecticut-Hartford mission for 2 years.

Grandma loved having her grandchildren stay with her every summer. After retirement she traveled with friends and family.

She is survived by her children: Janice (Gary) Jensen, St. George; Richard B (Jerrie) Hendrickson, West Jordan. Her grandchildren are Tammy Bryant, Cedar City; Colette McQuown, Eden; Casey Heap, St. George; Leslie Ricketts, Snoqualmie, WA; Rebecca Ball, Twin Falls, ID; and Heidi Hendrickson, West Jordan, Utah; 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: Dorothy Robison, Salt Lake City; Ralph (Carol) Bennett, Sparks, NV.

Also preceded in death by her parents; son and daughter-in-law Clair Leslie and Francine; grandson, Gregg Jensen; and great-grandson, Joseph; siblings Agnes (Gene) Yorgensen, Garr (Voris) Bennett, Emma (Karl) Donaldson; brother-in-law, Paul Easton Robison.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Monroe Canyon Assisted Living for the loving care given to Elaine.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 12:00 Noon in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary on Friday from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery. Funeral Directors, Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
