Edward Lawrence Ellis, 80, passed away June 20, 2014 in Provo. He was born January 6, 1934 in Erie, Pennsylvania to Lester Edward and Kathryn Martha Walter Ellis. He married Thelma June Blystone, December 15, 1955, in Ripley, New York.
Ed was a long-time teamster member operating heavy equipment. He loved driving trucks and motorcycles, traveling, camping, fishing and hunting.
Ed was a man’s man who loved life, his brothers and sisters, mother, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends, and neighbors. But most of all, he loved his wife of nearly 60 years, June.
Ed is survived by his wife, June, of Monroe; children: Debbie Ellis and Tammy Ellis, both of Waleska, GA; Terri (John) Kelly, Billings, MT; Sandy (Brian) Hoots, Winchester, IL; Cindy (Daniel) Dupont, Canton, GA; and Rusti Ellis, Jacksonville, IL; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; siblings: Audrey Jones, Lake Isabella, CA; Gary (Sheila) Ellis, Cambridge Springs, PA; and Marilyn (Richard) Jones, Riverbank, CA.
Preceded in death by his parents; son, Edward "Lil Eddie" Ellis; and siblings: Richard "Dickie" Ellis, Dorothy Jones and Kenny Ellis.
Cremation services have been held. Graveside services and interment will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. in the Monroe City Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti. Online guestbook at www.maglebymortuary.com
