Dwight Davis
Salina, Utah
Dwight Jack Davis 43, of Salina, passed away unexpectedly in a tragic vehicle accident near Ephraim on January 27, 2023. Dwight was born on January 4, 1980 to Adam Davis and Latricia Shaw Lazenby in Gunnison.
He grew up in Delta, where he took Mom’s tips from a jar and went next door to the Delta sports center and bought himself a 3 wheeler. He drove it around the neighborhood picking up the mail, but Mom always made him take it back to their doors.
He married Meagan Black on February 19, 1999. Together they had two boys: Charley and Dwight. They were later divorced. He then had his little girl he always dreamed about, Harley Davis, with Cassidy Mikesell. His kids were his life, he loved them very much.
He grew up loving to get his hands dirty. He tore everything he could apart including the lawn mowers. He became a mechanic and loved everything about it. He worked at DG Garage in Salina the last few years. His boss, Dusty and Stephanie Goble, were so good to him, they were definitely second family. If you couldn’t find him in the shop, you could find him somewhere in the mud tearing up his truck. He loved fishing with his dad.
He became a grandpa from his oldest boy Charley, to the cutest girls, Serena and Chrystiana. They were his pride and joy. He loved when he got to go visit them.
Dwight had the biggest loving heart and would drop everything to help someone out. We will miss his smiling face and big bear hugs. But we know he is at peace.
Dwight survived by his boys: Charley (Tabitha) Marinette, WI; Dwight, Gunnison; daughter, Harley, Aurora; mother and father, Latricia and Ronald Lazenby, Salina; siblings: Chance, Salina; RayDon (Trisha), Thornton, CO; Veronica (Eric), Salina; Anthony (Sheila), Delta; Lacey (Preston), Aurora; Katie, Aurora; Aubree (Jesse), Brigham City; grandmothers: Patricia Shaw, Nephi; Nola Davis, Ephraim; granddaughters: Serena and Chrystiana; and lots of nieces and nephews who adored him.
He is preceded in death by his father, Adam; brother, Austin; and sadly too many others to list. What an amazing welcome home he must of had.
We want to express our gratitude to the Sanpete County EMS, Police, Ephraim Fire and Sanpete County Hospital, and also everyone who helped with the accident and comforted him in his final moments. Also thank you to Mark Lyman, Andy and Carol Shaw.
