Douglas Clark Olsen, 65, of Ephraim, passed away on June 3, 2013 at the Gunnison Valley Hospital. He was born on August 21, 1947 to Clifford Andrew and Ada LaVon Bartholomew Olsen in Salt Lake City, UT. He married Carol Hansen on September 12, 1969. They had one daughter, Michelle. They divorced September 23, 1971.

Doug was an avid outdoorsman, traveler and sheepherder/rancher. He worked several years for sheep ranchers, Gary Madsen and Ray Terry Larsen, in the mountains and valleys of Sanpete County. He loved to tell stories of his adventures to anyone who would listen.

Doug is survived by his sister, Edith Camille (Lynn) Lindsay, of Ephraim; daughter, Michelle, of Layton and grandson, Jordan, of Layton. He is also survived by 3 nieces, 4 nephews, 8 great-nieces, 2 great-nephews and numerous cousins. Doug was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Russell Clifford Olsen and Milton Myron Olsen.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 6, 2013 at 12:00 noon in the Ephraim Park Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti. Online guestbook at www.maglebymortuary.com
