Doug Magleby

Douglas Glen Magleby,70, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2019 of natural causes at his home in Monroe. He was born February 22, 1949 in Richfield to John Bert Jr. and LaPreal Jensen Magleby. Doug married Bonnie Burr, they had three children, Michelle, Angela and RaNae, they later divorced. He married, Karma Worthen, later divorced. He married Harriet Jan Hatch September 11, 2014 in Las Vegas.
Doug grew up in Monroe and later attended school at Utah State University and became a very well respected land surveyor. Everything Doug did, he did at a 110%: whether it was building with his hands, surveying, or teaching his children and grandchildren how to work hard, live life to the fullest and to enjoy every moment. Doug always had the cutest, crooked smile and was happiest on the mountain surrounded by those he loved.
Doug is survived by his loving wife, Jan, whom he adored; daughters: Angela Magleby (Garyn) Mickelsen and RaNae Magleby; stepchildren: Eric (Rachelle) Greenhalgh, Emily (Robert) Nelson and Kerry (Joel) Moody; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; brothers: Dale (Pamela) Magleby, Ted (Regi) Magleby; sister, Lynne (David) Anderson.
Doug is preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Magleby; parents; best friend, Richard Jensen.
Doug made friends everywhere he went, was a proud American and loved new adventures. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure to know him.
Cremation services have been held. Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 12:00 Noon at John Magleby residence: 2391 West Sierra Vista, Monroe Utah (off Brooklyn Road). Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti. Online guestbook at www.maglebymortuary.com
