Douglas Loosle
Richfield, Utah

Our loving husband, father and grandfather, Douglas William Loosle, 85, passed away June 26, 2012 at his home in Richfield, with his dear wife at his side. He was born October 19, 1926 in Salt Lake City, to William James and Margaret Paton Campbell Loosle. He married the love of his life, Marie Spencer, March 15, 1950 for time and all eternity in the Logan LDS Temple.
Dad loved life and lived it to its fullest. He saw beauty all around in all of God’s creations. Dad’s greatest joy in life was his family and the gospel and was a true disciple of our Savior.
Dad served an honorable mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the English Isles and later in life served a mission with his wife in Guatemala. He held many callings in the church, but his favorites were teaching and serving others. Dad was a dedicated member of the Sons Of Utah Pioneers.
Dad loved his job and couldn’t wait for Monday mornings to go to work. He served as principal at Richfield High School for 26 years and finished his career as an assistant superintendent in the Sevier School District.
He served in the US Navy during World War II.
Dad is survived his wife of Richfield; children: Shauna Marie (Jeff) Pinegar, Salt Lake City; Douglas Barry (Rondalee) Loosle, Mesa, AZ; William Jeffrey (Sherry) Loosle, Draper; Tonya Le (Courtney) Gleave, Eagar, AZ; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; siblings: Norma Wallentine, Logan; Donald (Bette) Loosle, Logan; Bonnie Erickson, Logan; Margaret (Arnold) Dance, Idaho.
