He retired 23 years later as Monroe’s City Manager. During his time with Monroe, he was a member of UAMPS and a city council member. He loved to wire houses and would accept payment in brownies and cookies.
Doug was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in a variety of scouting positions, a member of the bishopric, and many other church callings.
Doug is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, brother, and stepson Mark Riddle.
