Born to Charles William Larsen and Mary Arlisha Funk on June 2, 1927 in Sterling, where he has lived all of his life. Don began his working career in Sterling for Utah Azomite Mining Company for ten years. He then became a heavy equipment operator for several different construction companies and worked for Sanpete County Road Department until he retired. He served as mayor of Sterling for several years and was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in the bishopric as first counselor.

Don being the hard worker that he was built the family home in Sterling and added on as needed for his growing family. He took pride in everything he did as was evident with the yearly grooming of his yard, flowers and vegetable garden that everyone admired and enjoyed. Many fun times and memories were made then and will be remembered by all.
