Diane Bogh Peterson Funk, 82, passed away on February 27, 2020 surrounded by loved ones at her home in Gunnison, Utah. Diane was born December 2, 1937 in Manti, Utah to Cleo and Vonda Stott Bogh. She lived in Centerfield until she married, then she lived the rest of her life in Gunnison. She married Ivan Ray Peterson on January 16, 1954. He passed away on November 5, 1987. She married Eugene Funk September 18, 1996. He passed away on May 22, 2008.
Diane was kind, gentle, nurturing, compassionate, generous and a perfect example of Christ-like love and service. Her family was the most important priority in her life.
Diane worked as an x-ray technician at Gunnison Valley Hospital for over 20 years. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many positions, but the one she loved most was serving in the Manti Temple for 12 years.
She is survived by her children: Elaine (Richard) Jensen, Doris Dee (Manouk, deceased) Kassabian, Christine (Chuck) Nelson, Robert (Melissa) Peterson; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, with 2 more on the way, 1 great-great- grandchild; sisters: Sharon (Bryce,deceased) Christensen, Pauline (Paul) Christensen, Barbara (Bob) Jones; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Keith Roy; grandchildren: Amanda Peterson and Kris Kassabian.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gunnison Stake Center. Friends my call at the church prior to services from 9:00-10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Gunnison Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
