D Alan Scovil passed from this life on February 12, 2025 surrounded by his loving family at the home of his daughter. He was born December 15, 1939 at his grandmother’s home in Scipio, Utah.

Alan loved reading, and being a dad. Anyone that knew Alan definitely knew he was a proud father.

Alan married Shiela Scovil on August 5, 1973 and they made their life in California where they raised their only daughter, Kimberly. When Alan retired at the age of 49 they moved back to Utah or as dad would say, “We moved back to God’s Country”.

They were blessed with one grandson, Anthony Alan Dudley (Breanna), and 2 great-grandchildren, Carslyn and Colson Alan Dudley.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to IHC Hospice. The staff treated him like family and he received the most amazing care.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Derral J and Marjorie Allen Scovil; and his sweetheart, Shiela D Scovil.
