Deral Sawyer, 80, passed away in Richfield on May 9, 2017. He was born February 7, 1937 in Panguitch, Utah to Arthur and Mary Sawyer. He married Jeanette Shakespear, they later divorced. He then married Melcine Sawyer, November 20, 1990 in Panguitch, Utah.
Deral was a loving son, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Born in Panguitch and raised in Hatch, he loved hunting, fishing, and the great outdoors. Deral had a green thumb and was the best gardener there was and quite the cook. His garden was the best in town. Deral was a good joker and made everyone laugh. He was a one of a kind guy and was thoughtful and generous. On the dance floor watch out, he owned it. Deral was what we call a true "Country Boy."
He is survived by his wife, Melcine of Panguitch; children: Jeannie (Brian) Golding, Victor Sawyer, Garland (Jeanette) Sawyer, Veral (Shanna) Sawyer, Leslie (Robert) Burns, John (Tressa) Jefferson, Gary Jefferson, Jeannie (Danny) Brown, Salvi (Jordan) Godorov, Christine (Jeremy) Perkins; 50 + grandchildren; 35 + great-grandchildren: siblings: Van (Caroline) Sawyer, Lyle (Darleene) Sawyer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Vonay and Bernice; brother, John; step-daughter Kim.
