Dennis Wayne Shuffler, 64, passed away, at his home in Ephraim on January 6, 2015, surrounded by his children, after a short yet courageous battle with brain cancer. He was born on June 4, 1950 in Amarillo, TX to Wayne Hershal and Bette Valene Jensen Shuffler.
Dennis was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He has a very strong testimony of the gospel and served a mission in Japan. He had many hobbies in life; such as working on computers and playing Mid State softball. Dennis graduated from Stevens Henegar College and spent seventeen years in the National Guard. He had many close friends through out his life and had a very big heart.
In life Dennis was a kind and loving father and grandfather. He always went out of his way to make sure all of his children were provided for and knew he loved them with all his heart. Dennis is survived by his mother, Bette; sister, Sharon Hansen; children, Robert Shuffler of Montana, Melissa (Cody) Rushton of Orem, Jason (Rachel) Shuffler of Montana, Mindy (Jose) Guzman of Santaquin, Jessica (Tim) Wilson of Ephraim and Jennifer (Deven) Curtis of Lehi. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ephraim Stake Center, 400 East Center. Friends may call on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at the Stake Center from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and also prior to services on Monday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Ephraim Park Cemetery.
