Dennis Bruce Draper, 74, passed away October 18, 2012, in Nephi, after a long battle with leukemia. Bruce was born June 26, 1938 in Spring City, the sole child of Cleo Ilene Anderson and Glenn Archie Draper.

Bruce resided in Ephraim for all but a few months of his life. He attended Ephraim Snow High School and Snow College and was an enlisted marine from 1955-1956. He married Ethel Lynd Larsen of Manti in 1961.

Bruce was a brilliant man with an amazing memory who was always thinking of new inventions and innovations. He worked as a knife maker and metal fabricator. He had an unique ability to devise ways to make machines more user-friendly and efficient.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Lynd; children: Shawn, Nicole and Tiffanie; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Preceded in death by parents.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Magleby Mortuary, 195 West 100 North, Manti, where friends may call after 12:00 Noon. Burial will be in the Manti City Cemetery with military rites by the Manti American Legion Post #31. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in his honor to be made at American West Bank, Ephraim, Utah, 84627, in Bruce’s name.
