DeLoy J Whitlock, 97 passed away February 21, 2019 in Richfield. He was born September 26, 1921 in Mayfield, Utah to Hyrum and Sadie Violet Jensen Whitlock. He married Della Cox, June 1, 1944 in Richfield. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Utah Temple. She preceded him in death September 7, 1981. He married Linda Kaartinen, October 31, 2011 in Richfield.
DeLoy was raised in Mayfield. He served his country during WWII in the Army and was involved in the Battle of the Bulge. He worked at the gyp plant in Sigurd for many years both on the production line and in the quarry.
He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in many different callings.
He is survived by: wife, Linda, Richfield; children: Charlotte (Lynn) Quilter, Smithfield; Brent (Debbie) Whitlock, Sacrament, CA; Anne (Gary) Peterson, Ogden and Ralph Edward Whitlock; many grand and great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
In addition to his parents and wife, Della, he is also preceded in death by a daughter, Kristy Sue Whitlock; siblings: Mary, Anna, Reho, still born son Roy, Ruth, Vergie and Donna.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 12:00 Noon in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel, 50 South 100 West, where friends may call on Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery with military honors provided by the V.F.W. Sevier Post #5050 and the Utah Honor Guard.
