Douglas Dean Brewer, 76, peacefully passed away at his home in Monroe on March 17, 2019.  He was born July 12, 1942 in Wichita, Kansas to Harry and Maxine Brewer.
He married Susan White, October 10, 2006 in Phoenix, AZ.
He is survived by his wife, Susan; children: Allison (Vince) Shultz, Ronald Lindenmuth, Jeffrey White; 4 grandchildren; brother, Dale Brewer.
He was proud of serving his country in the Navy on a submarine, the USS Snook.  He became an electrical engineer with NASA and worked on the crew sustaining the US Space Station.
After retirement, he and his wife moved to Monroe where he became a member of the Monroe American Legion Post.   He was very service oriented and enjoyed helping wherever he could in the communities wherever they lived.
He was proud of his family and loved being with them. He loved his wife; his dogs; his Harley and classic cars.
