Dayle Ann Findlay
Richfield, Utah
Dayle Ann Barnes Findlay, 84 passed away Sunday, March 31, 2024. She was surrounded by her family in her home in Richfield. She was born January 27, 1940 in Kemmerer, Wyoming to Roy Wayne and Lola Florean Hansen Barnes. She married her sweetheart, Lynn Arthur Findlay, July 20, 1962 in the temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Dayle never complained of them moving, when she packed up their lives eight times, because her favorite place to be was by Lynn’s side. They moved the most in Idaho then to Wyoming and to California then back to Idaho. Richfield is where they ended up and raised their family and enjoyed many additional friendships. They have spent forty-eight years in Richfield where she was busy working as a medical transcriber and even busier raising their son and four daughters.
Dayle had a compassionate heart. She enjoyed doing for others. She loved the gospel and served in many church callings. Her heart and home were open to everyone. She had a way of making all feel welcome with her smile and fresh baked cookies.
Dayle is survived by her husband Lynn Findlay; her children: Sterling Findlay, Brit Findlay, Laura (Ryan) Tobler, Hilary (Christian) Breinholt, and Hali (Jared) Grundy; her 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and brother Donald Barnes of South Dakota.
She is preceded in death by her parents Roy and Lola Barnes; siblings: LeRoy Barnes, Calvin (Pauline) Barnes, Dudley Barnes, Almy “Bud” (Haruko) Barnes; grandchildren: Christopher Sterling Findlay, and Sidney Mason Nielson.
