Dawna Vee Jensen Bown, 82, of Manti, passed away on September 10, 2012 after a long and fulfilling life. Our dearest wife, mother and grandmother left this life to return to her Heavenly Father.
Dawna was born on March 30, 1930 to Bert and Iona Jensen in Monroe, UT. She had three siblings: Geneal, Joe and Ronald. On January 20, 1950 Dawna married Kenneth H. Bown. They were married for 62 years. Together they had three children: Paul (VaNae), Peggy and Sandra, 12 grandchildren and many great-grand children. She loved people. Dawna worked in the 4-H program for 20 years. She taught and judged many fairs. In her younger years Dawna taught in the Scouts. She was a partner in the Country Cousins gift shop for 25 years. She worked at the shop and made many friends. Her joy was her accomplishments, family, friends, games, crafts, peanut butter, Ritz, cookies and coffee. She gave us all laughs and love.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Manti Stake Center, 555 East Union. Friends may call prior to services on Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Manti City Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
