David Buist, 76, of Richfield, passed away March 27, 2012, in Richfield. He was born November 22, 1935, in Salt Lake City, to William Wesley and Mamie Cox Buist. He married Angelina Cavasos, September 11, 1964, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They later divorced. He then married Cynthia Faulkner and also later divorced.
David loved doing his family history. He also enjoyed journal writing. He served an LDS mission in Guatemala and returned several times to serve the people there. David loved listening to music and spending time outdoors fishing.
He is survived by his children, Andrea Koelling, Salt Lake City; Melissa Hancock, Richfield; Stephanie (Daniel) Bruse, Richfield; and Sean (Stacey) Buist, Wyoming; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan; parents; siblings, Wesley, William, Lorna and Jodi.
Graveside services and interment will be held on Friday, March 30, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. in the Utah Veterans Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary, in Richfield, on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti
