Daryl Guy Lewis, 66, of Richfield, took his last trail ride with the love of his life by his side on August 5, 2018 in Richfield. He was born March 30, 1952 in Richfield to Guy R. and Geniel Gleave Lewis.

On July 4, 1975 Daryl married Cynthia Carpenter, together they had three children. They later divorced in1989.

He married Barbara Ann Hughes, March 27, 1991 in the Richfield Baptist Church. Daryl welcomed Barbara’s children into his family.

He worked at Max Pack for years. He was a fireman when he worked on I-70 with Hensel Phelps for 6 years. He also worked for Anderson Construction. He was with L.A. Young Construction Company when he began working with UDOT in 1987. He retired after 28 years of dedicated service, where he was respected by many.

He was a well known cement finisher. He was an avid horseman. He had a wicked sense of humor that left you wondering if you were his target.

He is survived by wife Barbara of Richfield; siblings: Gary Lewis, Richfield; Stephanie (Gary) Moulton, Fish Lake; Fred (Jennifer) Lewis, Washburnville; Karen Lewis, Richfield; children: Jarod (Jamie) Lewis, Richfield; Joshua (Tonia) Lewis and Jennecca (Mike) Christensen, both of Salina; Brenda (Nate) Sorenson, Richfield; Tammy (Wade) Ekins, Nephi; Tyrel (Erin) Fleck, St. George; 22 grandchildren, and 4 great-grand kids. He is preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister Evelyn Geniel.

Cremation services have taken place.  Celebration of life open house will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 from Noon until 4:00 p.m. at the family residence, 358 North 700 East, Richfield. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary of Richfield. Online guestbook www.maglebymortuary.com
