Darline Christensen, 82, of Centerfield passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 16, 2014, due to heart and kidney failure in Salt Lake City.
Darline was born July 20, 1932 in Redmond, and is the oldest of five children born to Clement and Blanche Christensen. She graduated from Gunnison Valley High and went on to BYU and earned her bachelor’s degree in Home Economics. She went to Europe and taught in France and Germany from 1960-1965. She came back and obtained her Master’s Degree in Indiana in 1969. She went on to be a counselor at Viewmont High School, where she retired.
She traveled the world with her sister and friends. Some of her favorite activities included reading, family history and camping. She valued education and missionary work and supported many great nieces and nephews financially in these endeavors.
She is survived by brothers: Robert (Edith), Jerry (Ellen), Franklin (Sharon) and many nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Virginia (John) Kagie.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, September 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Centerfield 1st Ward Chapel, 210 South Main, where friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Centerfield City Cemetery
