Darlene Porter Griffin Reynolds passed away August 5, 2018 in Richfield, UT. She was born August 20, 1929 to Orland and Maralda Chestnut Porter in Tooele. She married Donald Griffin November 3, 1949 in Salt Lake City. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. He preceded her in death March 15, 1993.

She married Glade Reynolds March 3, 2001, in Richfield.

Darlene was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings including Primary president. She loved to bake, do crafts and sew. She also enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and 4-wheeling.

She is survived by her husband, Glade; her children: Lana Harding, Spanish Fork; Diane Richins, Escalante; 12 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren; siblings: Renee Owens, Panguitch; and Marvin J (Gloria) Porter, Escalante; Glade’s children: Glenna D (Raymond) Sorensen; son-in-law, Rodney Christensen; 5 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Also preceded in death by parents; sons: Donald Layne (Marilee) Griffin and Randy Lynn Griffin; brother, Bill (Becky) Porter; son-in-law, Curt Richins; brother-in-law, Boyd Owens; Glade’s daughter, Donna Christensen.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Escalante 2nd Ward Chapel. Friends may call Friday at the Magleby Mortuary from 5-7 p.m. and Saturday from 10:30-12:30 at the ward chapel in Escalante. Burial will be in the Escalante Cemetery.
