Darlene Alvira Rasmussen Olsen, 86, passed away May 2, 2015 in Gunnison, Utah. She was born March 25, 1929 in Centerfield to Clifford and Alvira Jensen Rasmussen. She married Vernon Lewis Olsen, June 7, 1945 in Salt Lake City. The marriage was solemnized in the Manti Utah Temple, September 27, 1974. He preceded her in death, January 21, 1994.
Darlene graduated from Gunnison High, was a member of the LDS Church and also the DUP. She always felt blessed to be a stay at home mom and she was a great mom.
She is survived by children, Lee (Becky) Olsen of Nephi, Carol (Georgel) Anderson of Centerfield, Sondra (Weston) Jones of Nephi, Venna (Dennis) Gardner of Centerfield, Debra (Norman) Ballow of Nephi, Von (Mitzi) Olsen of Centerfield, Jeanette (Mark) Christensen of Centerfield; 28 grandchildren; 108 Great-grandchildren and expecting 1 st Great-great-grandchild in July; brother, Oliver V. Rasmussen of Provo.
She is preceded in death by an infant son; an infant granddaughter, Julieann Anderson; grandsons, Tyson Jay Nay, Jason Lynn Olsen and Kourtney Lee Olsen.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Centerfield 1 st LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the ward chapel in Centerfield on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 or on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30. Burial will be in the Centerfield Cemetery
