Daril James Hansen

Daril James Hansen, 84, of Elsinore, passed away October 31, 2018 in Provo.  He was born May 28, 1934 in Elsinore to Aril Claudias and Emma Gladys Anderson Hansen.  He married Faye Esther Flood, October 14, 1955 in McClelland, Iowa.  The marriage was solemnized October 14, 2000 in the Manti Temple.  She preceded him in death July 14, 2008.
Daril served in the U.S. Air Force and retired after 21 years.  He has also worked with the BLM and retiring from the U.S. Forest Service.
He loved being in the outdoors.  He enjoyed taking the kids and grandkids on fishing trips, camping and riding in the mountains.
He and Faye loved to garden and always waited for the humming birds and cardinals to come by.  He had a “morning route” that consisted of the post office, café and hanging out with the brothers (and all the guys in town) solving the worlds woes.
He is survived by his daughters: Caroline Veater and Sonya Hansen; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; siblings: Kendall (Sharon) Hansen and Barth Hansen.  Preceding him in death are his parents; son, Kent Lee Hansen; grandson, Bruce Lee Hansen.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Central Valley 2nd Ward Chapel, where friends may call on Monday from 9:00 to 10:30.  Burial will be in the Elsinore Cemetery with military hnors by the Elsinore American Legion Post #75 and the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard.
