Dan Corcoran

Dan Marvin Corcoran passed away on June 7, 2013 at the age of 71, he finally "retired" from a full life of hard work. He was born December 20, 1941 to William Henry, and Mary Rosella Askern Corcoran. Graduated from North Sanpete High School. He married Susan Cox in the Manti Temple on June 26 th 1964.
Dan worked as a meat cutter for 15 years while living in Las Vegas, Nevada. He later worked at the Sky Line Mine for 22 years and owned his own business as an E100 Excavator in his retirement years. He was a jack-of-all-trades and loved using these talents to serve others. In giving service he served for 30 years barbequing turkey for the Manti Pageant. He currently has been serving as the 1 st counselor in the Manti 7 th Branch Presidency.
Dan is survived by his wife, Susan of Manti; children: Karen (Terry) Davies, Clearfield; Becky (Albert) Douglas, Manti/Fredonia AZ; Jody (Kyle) Nelson, Ephraim; grandchildren: Teran, Jacob, Maddison Davies, Daniele, Joshua Douglas, Kyler, Nicole Nelson; twin brother, Dean Corcoran; sister, Betty Volz; and Jorge and Pat, the family pets.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 14, 2013 at 12:00 Noon in the Manti Tabernacle, 100 South Main, where friends may call Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. and Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 am.
