Dahl J. Westwood, 69, passed away April 17, 2011 in Panguitch, Utah. He was born July 6, 1941 in Circleville, to George and Jane Wiltshire Westwood. He married DyAnn Cooper July 24, 1966 in Circleville.
After graduating from high school, Dahl went to college to become a teacher. His father died and he went back to Circleville to run the farm with his brother Roger. He enjoyed working on the Smokey Mountain, delivering milk to Panguitch and even working at the sewing plant.
He loved fishing, hunting and the outdoors. No one could tell a better story than Dahl.
Dahl lived and loved life for his grandkids. If you were a grandchild he would hook you up with treats. He loved the farm and taking the grandkids on the tractor. He always had a buddy seat for the kids to sit on. He loved taking trips with his family. His family was his life.
Survived by his wife, DyAnn, Circleville; children: Dean Jay Westwood, Jill (Mike) Camp, and Whitey (Kristi) Westwood, all of Circleville; Haley (Jesse) Hatch, Panguitch; eight grandchildren and one in May; siblings: Roger (Beverly) Westwood, Circleville; Marsha (Richard) Henrie, Minersville; John (MaryEllen) Westwood, Cedar City; Mary Ann (Kevin) Glazier, Kanab; sister-in-law, Terecea Westwood, Circleville.
Preceded in death by parents; brother, Dan; sister Dana.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 22, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Circleville 1 st Ward Chapel, 195 W 200 S. Friends may call at the ward building Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Circleville Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield.
