Cynthia Gardner
Mt. Pleasant, Utah

Cynthia Asay Gardner, 55, unexpectedly passed away on October 14, 2023 at her home. She was born on April 6, 1968, in Salt Lake City to Charlotte Bernice Marshall and Charles Gary Asay. She was raised by Mark Craig Gardner. She grew up in Mount Pleasant Utah with four siblings: Charles, Kimberly, Laura, and Mark. She was married to Kelly Ryan and later divorced.
Cindy had the most magnetic personality and a contagious laugh and was often joking around with her sense of humor. You can see her quirky personality in all her children as they seem to each possess different traits from their mother (good and bad). You couldn’t help but love her, even if you just met her. She was an excellent cook, teaching her children along the way, who embraced those skills with passion and always came at food from a place of love as to why it seemed to taste best.
Cindy may not have been a saint and lived a hard life as many obstacles were in her way, but all were blessed to have her in their life and were better for having known her. All people die, but not all people live.
Cindy had some of the most passion for animals often bringing in strays and opening her heart and home to the furry little critters, even if they were not the cutest, she had to always have one near her.
Cindy was a raving fan of country music and was blaring the tunes any chance that she got and forcing all to hear. She will be deeply missed but will live on through her children, grandchildren, friends, and many more in their hearts and memories.
Cynthia is survived by her children: Shane Johnson, Andrew (Jessica) Gardner, Britney (Joel) Pyne, and Amanda Ryan. With several local additions along the way. Cynthia was blessed with ten grandchildren, whom she loved more than anything.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents: Charlotte, Gary, and Craig; also, her grandson, Traygen Shane Johnson.
Cremation services were previously held at the Magleby Mortuary Cremation Center. Please join us in a celebration of her life on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. It will be held in Mount Pleasant at 101 East 100 North.
