Curtis Sorensen

Curtis Wayne Sorensen, age 64, resided in Elsinore, Utah. He passed away peacefully, June 8, 2018, in Nephi, Utah.
Curtis was born Monday December 21, 1953 to Marlin Dee and Eliza Catherine Cowley Sorensen. He was the 5th child born out of 8 children. He attended Elsinore Elementary and South Sevier High School. At age 17, he left home and joined the Army. He married young and had 2 children before getting divorced. He then married in 1976 to Margaret Jeffers. He had 3 more children and was married for 32 years.
Curtis being in the Army was stationed all over the world. From Anchorage, Alaska to Washington state, Oregon to Colorado, Korea to Turkey and West Germany twice. He fought frontline in Desert Storm and battles in Iraq, Iran and Kuwait. He was with B Company 82nd Engineers. He was a Sargent E-7 when he retired. After serving his country for over 20 years, he retired to Veneta, Oregon. A few years later he moved back to Elsinore, Utah to be closer to his family.
Curtis is survived by his children: Candy, Kim, Curtis Wayne II, Camie, and Craig; 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; ex-wife, Margaret Jeffers. He was proceeded in death by his parents.
Curtis' memory is our greatest treasure to have, to hold forever in our hearts.
Please join us in saying our final goodbyes Friday, June 22, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Elsinore Cemetery. A luncheon to follow.
