Craig Lowell Sorensen, 68, of Gunnison, passed into the loving arms of his Heavenly Father and had a joyful reunion with his parents on Christmas morning December 25, 2013. Craig was born on October 25, 1945 in Moroni, UT to Alva Lowell and Thora Almeda Curtis Sorensen. He attended Manti Schools and joined the United States Navy serving his country during Vietnam. Craig married Jennette Jensen on August 15, 1969. They were later divorced.
He is survived by his daughter, Kendra Sorensen, of Ephraim, UT; sons, Ronald Sorensen and Thomas Peacock, both of Gunnison; He is also survived by his grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sister, Marcia Evans, of Tropic, UT; brothers, Al Sorensen, of Lake Point, UT; Denny (Mani) Sorensen, Springville, UT; Craig was preceded in death by his parents.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the Staff at Gunnison Valley Hospital and the Veterans Medical Center for the loving care they offered to Craig.
At Craig’s request cremation services have been preformed and Memorial services will be held on January 4, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gunnison Stake Center.
