Throughout her younger years, she loved spending her summers with her grandma- Grace L. Carter. She cherished those times while learning skills that she would later perfect and would become the hobbies that she enjoyed. She gifted so many of these treasured items to her family.

She had a big heart, and she loved BIG. She served whomever she came in contact with throughout her life regardless of their needs.
One of her great loves was animals. She took in any and all strays and fed and cared for them. She was so knowledgeable about horses and spent numerous hours working and playing with her horses. She loved to do yard work and gardening. She had such a green thumb and could make any plant/flower grow regardless of the circumstance. She loved to can. Her elderberry jam/syrup was definitely her forte. She loved sharing her bountiful harvests. She loved to see people happy.
