Connie Lue Jensen

Connie Lue Shepherd Jensen, 82, of Ephraim, passed away peacefully February 21, 2015 after battling numerous health problems. She was born December 31, 1932 to Marlin Ardell Shepherd and Tina Matilda Nielson Shepherd in Mt. Pleasant, Utah. She married Jay Harold Jensen December 28, 1948. She has been a resident of Ephraim since marrying her sweetheart. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple, June 23, 1964.
Connie was always a happy person, willing to serve where she was most needed. Her greatest joy was her family. Besides being a good wife, mother, homemaker and church worker, Connie also worked at Ben Franklin, Anderson Drug and Stubbs.
She lived many years on Witches Knoll and when her sweetheart passed she moved into town into a small home that she loved on 4th South. Eventually her health required that she move into Golden Skyline Assisted Living where she enjoyed the constant association with her friends. She was willing to help in any civic activities whenever asked. She had many church callings. She served a mission at the Manti LDS Food Bank. She loved to cook, bake, and enjoyed having friends and relatives. She also loved to embroidery, and read.
She is survived by two sons; David J. Jensen (Janet), Las Vegas, NV; James H Jensen (Carolyn), Ephraim; Three daughters: Judy A. Wheeler (Gene), Ephraim; Penny S. McInelly (Gaylon), Lehi; Janette Lyman (Allen), Ephraim. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two brothers; Jay Shepherd, Richfield; Dick Shepherd, Central Valley, Ut. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Jay, two sons Jed and Kurt; daughter, Jacqueline; parents, Marlin and Tina Shepherd; brother, Doyce Shepherd and sister, Dorothy Blackham.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Ephraim 5th Ward Chapel, 751 South 100 East. Friends may call prior to services at the Church from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Ephraim Park Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
