Connie Brian
Central Valley, Utah
Connie Ray Wright Brian, 90, returned to her loving Heavenly Father on May 30, 2021 at her home in Central Valley surrounded by her family. She was born November 2, 1930 in San Diego, CA to Jeff and Elaine Seney Wright. She lived her first three years in Portland, OR. She was then legally removed from their home and placed in foster care. When she turned five, full custody of her was given to her aunt and uncle, Ralph and Marie Wright. They in turn raised her through her school years and on until she was on her own. She always considered them her mom and dad.
Connie attended all her school years in the Astoria, OR area. After graduation from high school she went to Portland and lived with her brother and his wife. She got a job there and then she met Verle Brian who was in the U.S. Navy and stationed at Tongue Point Naval Base in Astoria. They married April 5, 1951 in Portland. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. They lived in Astoria for about a year, then in 1952 Verle was released from the Navy, they then moved to Utah as this is where Verle was from. They lived for a time in Loa, Salt Lake City, Kearns, Richfield and in 1964 they moved to Central Valley.
Connie worked at several places in Richfield, one of them being her own shop. A craft shop called the Hope Chest where she made a lot of the merchandise and she also took things on consignment. She also liked to do boutiques during the holidays.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many organizations.
Her favorite pastime was either working on crafts or doing yard work. But her most favorite was doing family history work. She has about 40 large 3 and 4 inch binders with their family history.
She is survived by her husband Verle; and her children: Teri Ann (Stanford) Parsons, Michael (Diana) Brian, John (Sandi) Brian and Jodi (Scott) Gurney; 13 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a son, William Verle; brother, William Wright.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the At Home Health Care for the special care that they gave to our Mom!
