Colton Adam Mosser

December 31, 2005 — November 18, 2023

Perry, Utah

On the evening of Saturday, November 18, 2023, Colton Adam Mosser, our loving son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew and friend, passed away due to injuries sustained in a tragic accident.

Colton was born on December 31, 2005 to Adam Kirby and Candace Clark Mosser. Colton quickly developed his independent personality, mischievous smile, wit, and laugh that would follow him throughout life.

In April 2008, Garrett Kenneth joined the family, giving Colton an automatic best friend and confidant. At this same time, Mommy Candace passed away from medical complications. Colton has always been surrounded by an abundance of love and support and this was no exception as family and friends rallied around to help Adam love and nurture Colton and Garrett.  Because of this, Colton had a very special bond with many grandparents, great-grandparents and other relatives that helped care for him.

In June 2010, Colton not only gained a bonus mom, Nellie, and another friend in an older brother, Carter, but also additional extended family who love him immensely. Many memories have been made together while camping, hunting, fishing, backpacking, Jeeping, attending nonstop sporting events, going on trips with extended family, or just watching movies and playing games. There was never a dull moment in our home full of love, laughter and at times, chaos.

Colton was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, currently serving as the assistant secretary in the Perry 2nd Ward Priests Quorum. Colton participated in the Boy Scouts of America program, receiving a Heroism Award along with the Eagle Scout Award.

As a current Box Elder High School senior, Colton was on the path to graduate early. He excelled academically as well as athletically. Colton participated in baseball, track, cross country and wrestling. He was awarded Outstanding Freshman in cross country and during his sophomore year in track his 4x800 relay team went to state.

Colton was happiest when he had a project or could be working with his hands and getting dirty and most of his jobs catered around that. He worked for Bob Tingey in the orchards, the Hardy Dairy, Brigham City Corporation and Smith’s Food and Drug. Colton left a lasting positive impact wherever he went.

Colton lovingly referred to his group of friends as “the boys”. But they are much more than that – they are his brotherhood. There was always an adventure with an even better story to be told. Colton knew he was loved by them.

Colton was preceded in death most recently by his great-aunt Cassie Wood and great-grandpa Denzil Baird. His joyful, yet tearful, reunion in heaven included his Mommy Candace and so many incredible sets of grandparents and family members who love him deeply.

We would like to thank our amazing community for the outpouring of love and support.
