Our loving son, brother and friend, Colby Blake Edwards, 30, passed away on August 15, 2012 in Gunnison, Utah.
He was born on June 4, 1982 in Gunnison, to Blake and Coleen Edwards.
Colby was a member of the LDS church and an Eagle Scout. He was an avid "Utah Jazz" fan and loved basketball. He was an amazing uncle and loved his niece and nephews more than anything else in life. He attended SUU and was employed at Sears during his college years.
Colby was currently employed at Applied Composite Technology in Gunnison.
He beat all odds after an industrial accident in June. Everyone was amazed by his fast recovery. Colby appreciated the care he received from all of his doctors, nurses and EMTs during that time, especially the care from Dr. Wade Anderson, PA.
Colby is survived by his mother Coleen (Darwin) Ogden, Gunnison; his sister, Brittney (Austin)Salt Lake City; grandparents, Don & Ila Edwards, Gunnison; his niece and two nephews, and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father Blake Edwards and his grandmother Beth Nielsen.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 20, 21012, at 11:00 am in the Gunnison LDS Stake Center. Friends may call at the Gunnison Stake Center on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and again at the church on Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Gunnison City Cemetery.Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
