Arthur Clinton Chapman, 84, passed away August 3, 2014 at his home in Centerfield, Utah. He was born December 16, 1929 in Salt Lake City to Arthur Wiseman and Vivian Giles Chapman. He married Geraldine "Gerrie" LeCheminant, January 28, 1955 in the Salt Lake Temple.
Clint and Gerrie lived most of their married lives in West Valley City and recently moved to Centerfield. Prior to their move, Clint worked as a mechanic and maintenance worker for the State of Utah.
He was an active member of the LDS Church, fulfilling many callings including ordinance worker in the Jordan River Temple.
Clint is survived by his wife, Gerrie; children, Christine (Stevan) Childs, Douglas (Bobbie) Chapman, Bruce (Connie) Chapman, Diana (Carlos) Estrada, Lorieann (Adrian) Woodmansee and Bonnie (Dave) Cates; 28 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; siblings: Marian (Clifford) Johnson, Vivian (Paul) Krantz, Harold (Sherrill) Chapman, Elaine (Tom) Kenney, Les (Leslie) Chapman, Betty Lustig, Paul (Carole) Chapman. He is preceded in death by his parents; and grandson, Joshua Cates.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 8, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. in the LDS Ward Chapel located at 3291 South 3450 West in West Valley City where friends may call from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be on Saturday, August 9, at 9:30 a.m. in the Centerfield Utah Cemetery, with military rites by the Oliver Russell American Legion Post #105 and the Utah Honor Guard. Funeral Directors, Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
