Cleora Morrill Peterson, 94, passed away April 24, 2024 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah. She was born November 22, 1929 in Marysvale, to Clarance and Ada Howes Morrill, the third of seven siblings: Thelma, Denzil, Cleora, Harold, Dale, Steve and Ida Ann. She married Rollo F. “Pete” Peterson May 17, 1947 in Flagstaff, Arizona and were later sealed in the Manti Utah Temple. He preceded her in death May 10, 2008. The majority of their life was spent in Marysvale, however she lived the past 13 years in Mt. Pleasant to be closer to her daughters. Cleora loved her family, including her nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She always had a clean house, clothes hanging on the line correctly, an immaculate yard and a spotless car. Her favorite past times were hunting, fishing, sewing, crocheting, quilting and trying to make the world a better place. She also found much joy serving as an ordinance worker in the Manti Temple. She appreciated her friends in Sanpete County. She was always serving others, family, friends and neighbors. She loved to help the elderly but was never one herself. She made and gave away countless quilts to family, friends, and those in need. She did have a temper though, but as far as we know, the only ones who ever saw it were Pete and Bud. Cleora is survived her children: Carol (Myron) Anderson and Katherine (John, deceased) Frederick; grandchildren: Jeff and Jill Greene, Darrin and Celeste Boothe, David Myron Anderson, Dan and Barbara Wolfe, Joseph and Hilary Withers, and Kayla Frederick Blackburn; great-grandchildren: Jesse and Kathleen, Cody, Triston, Colton and Michelle, Shelby, Tyler and Kenna, Hayden, Samantha, Lincoln and Chloe, Savanah, and Lily; and her brother, Dale. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 6, 2024 at 12:00 Noon in the Marysvale Ward Chapel, where viewing will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Thompsonville Cemetery.
