Our loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend to all, Cleo Dawn Cowley Utley, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loved ones, on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 90 years of age. She was born March 28, 1927 in Venice, Utah to Ray Carlton and Jennie Priscilla Davis Cowley. She married Scott Morrell Utley, January 18, 1946 in the Manti LDS Temple.

She had a great desire to serve the Lord and was active in the LDS Church all her life. One of her greatest joys was to serve others. She was known for her wonderful baking skills... "have Cleo bring the rolls."

Cleo and Scott built their home in Venice where they raised their 4 children and lived there together for more than 70 years.

She is survived by her loving husband, Scott; her children: Linda (Marty) Cowburn, Colleen (Ted) Madden, Duane (Vickie) Utley, and Dan (Tricia) Utley; 34 grandchildren, 84 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Gary Cowley; and sister, Lorna Walker.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Maurine (Sterling) Breinholt and Vivian (Mert) Diven; brothers: Vern Cowley and Garn (Mary) Cowley; and a grandson, David (Michelle) Rioja; sister-in-law, Colleen Cowley; brother-in-law, Stanley Walker.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Venice Ward Chapel. Friends may call Friday evening, February 9 from 6 to 8 pm at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield; or the Saturday at the Venice Ward Chapel from 9:30 to 10:30 am. The Utley Family extends a heartfelt "Thank you" to the Magleby Mortuary staff, Intermountain Home Health and Hospice staff, a special friend and caregiver Karen Abbott, her granddaughter and caregiver Jennie Fullmer, and all the many others who have served her in one way or another during the final months of her life.
