Cleo Dawn Nay

November 9, 1927 — February 27, 2011

Cleo Dawn Lundgreen Nay, 83, passed away peacefully at her home in Murray, February 27, 2011, after a long and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Born in Monroe, November 9, 1927 to Eli Lundgreen and Manilla Brown. Married to Virgil "Virg" Nay on September 10, 1949, in Monroe. The marriage was solemnized in the Manti Temple July 5, 1963.

Cleo is survived by her loving and caring husband, Virg Nay, her four children: Scott E. (Kim), Salt Lake City; Lisa (Kim) Rappleye, Logan; Kyrt V. (Grace), Mapleton; and Paula (Blaine) Michaelsen, Richfield; 17 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; siblings: Dorothy Mauss, Hartley Lundgreen, Mona Black, Burns Lundgreen and Janet Carlston.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2011 in the Murray 8 th LDS Ward Chapel, 160 East 4600 South, Murray. Friends may call at the ward chapel on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Graveside Services will be at 4:30 p.m. in the Monroe City Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.

Special thanks to Harmony Home and Hospice for the caring support and friendship that enabled Cleo to stay with Virg in their home.

Cleo taught elementary school for 10 years in Monroe, until the debilitating disease of M.S. forced her to retire. As the disease progressed, she enjoyed being read to by her loving husband while being bedridden for the last 15 years of her life. She was a tremendous example of courage, humility, faith and endurance as well as a woman of grace, love and forgiveness. She will be remembered as a great listener with a wonderful sense of humor.
