Cleo M. Clark

Our dear mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great-grandmother and aunt, Cleo Miller Clark, 99, left her earthly home on February 28, 2015 in Gunnison, Utah. She was born January 23, 1916 in Panguitch to William Adelbert and Olive Mae Norton Miller. Cleo is a granddaughter of Riley Reynolds and Rachel Olive Lee Norton; a great- granddaughter of John Doyle and Sarah Caroline Williams Lee.
Cleo married James Leland Clark II, son of James Leland and Mary Matilda Clark, July 8, 1933 in Panguitch. He preceded her in death October 13, 1982.
She loved being outdoors, was an avid rock hound. She enjoyed her family and being with them. She always joked with her kids she was going to live to be 100 years old because she hadn’t "hassled" them enough.
She and Leland were "blessed" with seven children: Louise (Marion) Burgess, Cleola (Gary) Ellis, James Leland III (Maxine) Clark, J. Arthur (Margaret) Clark, Lela (Drew) Anderson, Terry Miller (Cory) Clark, Pamela (Sonny) Curtis. She also leaves behind a legacy of 30 grandchildren; 68 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is proceeded in death by her husband, Leland; daughter, Louise; sons-in-law: Marion Burgess, Gary Ellis; granddaughter, Katherine (Kevin) Westover; siblings: Zola, Verda, Alda, Del and Nin.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Panguitch Stake Center, 550 South 100 West, where friends may call from 12:00 Noon to 12:45p.m. Burial will be in the Panguitch Cemetery. Funeral Directors, Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
