Clayton J. Marshall, 81, died August 10, 2012 at his home after a debilitating illness. We love him and will miss his presence in this mortal life.
He was born August 5, 1931 in Tropic to Walter Allen and Marcia Ellen Wilson Marshall. He married Donna Jacobson, August 26, 1950 in Ely, Nevada; later solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple. She preceded him in death. Married Lavonne Boyer Santini May16, 1989 in the Jordan River Temple.
An active member of the LDS Church, Clayton held many positions including bishop of the Granger 6th Ward. He enjoyed years of service in the Jordan River Temple.
Clayton provided PA systems and audio services for schools, hospitals, LDS ward chapels and temples through Marshall Industries, which he owned and operated with his family.
Survived by wife, Lavonne, Venice; children: Douglas (Karen), Orem; Rodney (Sherry), West Valley; Joyce (Dennis) Savage, West Valley; Carolyn (Mark) Hurst, Nampa, Idaho; Kevin (Amy), Lewisville, TX; Amanda, Venice; Lavonne’s children: Sara (Michael) Gifford, Palmdale, CA; and Jacob (Angela) Santini, Bountiful; 29 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Carlson; Zona (Eldon) Bray and brother, Henry “Von” (Pam) Marshall.
He is also preceded in death by parents; step-father, Dean Witt; grandson, Brandon Savage; brothers, Walter V., and Lenard; brother-in-law, Leonard Carlson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at 12:00 Noon in the Venice LDS Ward, 125 N. Main. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. in the Magleby Mortuary, 50 South 100 West, Richfield and Wednesday at the ward chapel in Venice from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Richfield Cemetery.
