Christie Pollock

Taylorsville, Utah

"Remember who you are and what you stand for."

We are sad to announce that our loving mother, daughter, sister and crazy aunt, Christie Geneal Pollock, 48, has passed away unexpectedly on May 28, 2017 in West Valley City. She was born on March 28, 1969 in Salt Lake City to Dannie Keith and Arta Beth Alvey Pollock.

From the day she was born with that head of blonde hair, her two older brothers adored her. She graduated from Taylorsville High School in 1987, then Bryman College. Using the skills she acquired from Bryman, she started her career path at Hercules Aerospace Division. She then moved on to West Valley City Fire Department, which she thoroughly enjoyed. She also worked at Ameriprise Financial and presently at Nuclear Testing Services.

Mom enjoyed spending time with family. She enjoyed family trips to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where she could find time to cross-stitch and read her Stephen King novels. Mom was the life of the party. When she smiled the whole room lit up and nobody was left out. She loved animals, especially cats. In fact, they were drawn to her. She was the "crazy cat lady".

She married Ron Wyker, later divorced. Married Troy Gunderson, later divorced. Albert Romano, later divorced. And Jason Sims.

She is survived by her daughters: Kayla Chareese Pollock and Miranda Anne Romano; mother; brothers: Dannie Joe (Roxanne) Pollock, and Kenneth Layne (Tammy) Pollock; nieces, nephews, and special friend, Stephen Ninow.

She is preceded in death by her father.

Friends may call for a viewing on Monday, June 5, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. at the Paradise LDS Ward House, 1555 West Lovely Road (5095 South), in Taylorsville. Graveside services and interment will be held June 6, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Escalante Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
