Our beloved dad, Chester Orval Draper, 68, passed away July 13, 2012 in Provo. He was born September 1, 1943 in Salina, Utah to Orval Kay and Theo Huntsman Draper. He married Ilene Mason June 13, 1964 in Westwood, CA. She preceded him in death November 9, 1988.
Chet was an avid fisherman and hunter who loved the outdoors and taking road trips. He was a talented woodworker, handyman and carpenter. There was nothing he didn’t know how to fix!
Chet lived most of his life in Westwood, California and when he retired in 2006 started a new chapter of his life on the beach in Barra de Navidad, Mexico. He then returned to his place of birth and lived in Richfield, Utah for the past two years.
Survived by children: Shauna (Steve) Bomar, Gilbert, AZ; Cory Draper, Richfield; grandchildren: Cara Bomar, Candice Bomar, and Justin Draper; brothers, Jay Draper, Ft. Meyers, FL; Michael (Becky) Draper, Bend, OR; sister, Gloria Vernon, Chandler, AZ; sister-in-law, Hazel Draper, Lancaster, CA; and many nieces and nephews.
Also preceded in death by parents; brothers, Gary, Leon; in-laws, Ginny Draper, Gary Vernon.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel, 50 South 100 West. Friends may call at the mortuary in Richfield Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
