Chuck Werts
Joseph, Utah
Charles Parker Werts, most recently of Joseph, Utah, was proud to represent both the Parker family through his mother Jackie Parker and the Kansas Werts family through his dad Jack Myers Werts, of Joseph. He died February 5, 2017 in Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah, after a short illness.
Born February 12, 1950, in Syracuse, Kansas, "Chuck," readily celebrated his birthday in combination with Abraham Lincoln. Until President's Day was instituted, Chuck repeated each year how remarkable it was that banks and the post office closed to celebrate his birthday.
Raised in Topeka and Minneapolis, Kansas, he attended the University of Kansas until he made a move to the Los Angeles, California, area, where he lived until 2007. There, he managed large apartment and condominium complexes. He returned to Utah to help his parents, to be around the Parker clan, and to develop new friendships.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister Vicki Lynn (Steve) Constable of Phillipsburg, Kansas, and his nephews: Kent Constable and sons Lawson and Kenedy of Minneapolis and nephew Scott Constable and daughter Ashley Kay of Phillipsburg.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel. Burial on a later day in the Monroe City Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti. Online guestbook at www.maglebymortuary.com
