Charles William "Bill" DeLany, 86, passed away at his home in Elsinore January 31, 2015. He was born November 8, 1928 in St. Louis, MO to Charles William and Hildred Lena Neilson DeLany.

He married Hilda Merle, they later divorced.

He married Marilin Judd, they later divorced.

He married Marianne DeGrood, January 12, 1989 in Las Vegas, NV. The marriage was solemnized in the Reno Temple, July 21, 2011.

Bill served 7 years, 2 months and 1 day in the U.S. Navy, plus time in the California National Guard. He was an electronics technician for various companies and the U.S. Department of Defense. He loved the outdoors, gardening, planting trees and building...houses. He was a long time member of the Escapees RV Club.

Surviving him are his wife Marianne of Elsinore; nine children: Thomas D. DeLany, Nebraska; Richard M (Linda) DeLany, Kalispell, MT; Charles W. (Debbie) DeLany Jr., West Valley City; Ella L. (Charles) Sabodski, SLC; Frank F. (Jolene) DeLany, Roseville, CA; Carol A Knight, Tooele; Diane L. (Chris) Elmer, Citrus Heights, CA; Kathleen R. (Frank) DeSoto, Nebraska; step-children: Gary J. (Cathy) Bearden, Castroville, CA; Julie T. Starner, Salinas, CA; Mary S. (Larry) Hawkins, Marina, CA; Paula A. (Craig) Mason, Santa Rosa, CA; son-in-law, Roy V. Reynolds; 31 grandchildren; 76 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Cook, Monroe; brother, Richard N. (Dawn) DeLany, Townsend, MT; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Ruth Marlene Reynolds; sister, Bettie DeLany, brother, Dennis DeLany.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Elsinore LDS Ward Chapel, 50 North Center, where friends may call on Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30. Burial will be in the Elsinore Cemetery with military rites by the Elsinore American Legion Post #75 and the Navy Honor Guard. Funeral Directors, Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
