    Charleen Evelyn Cropper Mitchell, 89, passed peacefully on June 16, 2023, in West Jordan, with her loving daughter Penney at her side. She was born on January 4, 1934 to Walter J. and Aileen E. Gibbs Cropper in Marysvale. 
    She spent her early adult years residing in Salt Lake City and attended South High School where she met and married Robert V. Tyree.  Together they had three children. They divorced in 1974.
    Charleen returned to her birthplace in 1982 where she spent the remainder of her life. Married Max Mitchell on December 26, 1990.  He preceded her in death.
     She loved animals, especially dogs.  She took joy in caring for her feathered friends with her myriad of bird feeders which she filled daily for many years.  She was a rockhound and also a talented crochet crafter and jewelry creator.  She enjoyed working in her yard, caring for her fish pond and riding her lawnmower.  She was a loving mom, a giving grandma and a loyal sister and friend.  She always looked forward to phone calls and visits from family and friends.  Rest peacefully Mom, Grandma, G-ma, Sister and Friend.  We love you!
    She is survived by her children: Robert (Bob) Tyree, Las Vegas, NV; Helene “Penney” Tyree, West Jordan; and Spencer Vance Tyree (Virginia), Marysvale. She also leaves behind sister, Chloa Lunt, Nephi; and brother Norman Cropper, Marysvale; 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and her furbaby Flash.
    Visitation will be Friday, June 23, 2023 at 11am -12 noon in the Marysvale Community Center, 215 N. 100 E., Marysvale.
