Our beautiful boy, Chandler Larsten Anderson, passed away Tuesday, March 19, at 2:57 p.m., at the age of 28, as a result of a motorcycle accident. He is the son of Lars and Kristen Anderson. He was born on November 14, 1995, at the National Navel Medical Center, Bethesda, Maryland. After much consideration, we named him Chandler. His middle name is the first part of Lars' name, and the end of Kristen's name is the result of Larsten. We resided in Germantown, MD, for the first six months of his life and moved to San Diego, CA, where he attended pre-school and elementary. Chandler was an only child until he was five and a half years old when we welcomed his new baby sister, Savannah. Chandler was the best older brother, and he even got his teacher to let him call home to find out what Savannah was doing while attending school. At the age of 7, our family moved to Waukesha, WI, for his father's position after leaving the US Navy. Throughout his early years, he was involved in soccer, baseball, and karate. Chandler made friends quickly and lived a carefree life. At the age of 9, we moved to South Jordan. We moved close to his cousins, and he enjoyed their brotherhood. He enjoyed hanging out with all his cousins, snowboarding, baseball, boating, lacrosse, and skateboarding. Chandler worked hard to become an Eagle Scout and made it official with his Eagle Court of Honor in 2012. Chandler always had a good time and was a little mischievous at times. He made our house our home. He graduated from Bingham High School and obtained his bachelor's degree in 2020 at Dixie State University. Chandler landed a great job with Fidelity Investments, where he excelled. He was always moving forward, earning many licenses and working toward his master's degree. Chandler was passionate about many things, including his family and friends, fast, expensive exotic cars, and riding his motorcycle around Salt Lake City and the surrounding mountains. We find solace in the time we spend together. During the last few weeks of his life, he traveled to meet his new niece, Layla, who had been born on Valentine's Day. He loved holding and sleeping with her on his chest, was excited to spoil her with love and gifts, and relished being an uncle. With uncontrollable sorrow, we are forced to say goodbye for now but look forward to the day we reunite. We love and adore you, Chandler! Chandler is survived by his parents: Kristen (Mike) Smith, Lars (Tammy) Anderson; sister, Savannah (Coy) Manwill; step-siblings: Andrew Smith, Brian Smith, Natalia Van Wyk, Logan Klink, Keenan Klink; niece, Layla; grandmothers: Marlene Cox and Terry Anderson. Preceeded in death by his grandfathers: Rodney Cox and Terry Anderson; uncle, Scott Cox; aunt, Leigh Ann Cox-Bown.
