Chaleece Denton Johnson
1980-2016
Chaleece Dawn Johnson "Denton" passed away on Tuesday September 27, 2016 in Lehi, UT at her family home and is finally at peace in her life after a long struggle with drug addiction.
Chaleece was born on March 29, 1980 at the Gunnison Valley Hospital to Cheri and Glade Denton from Sterling, UT. She was loved and adored by her nieces and nephews. Berkley, Milo, and Beverly called her "Aunt Cookie", because she loved to spoil them and always made time to play with them. Chaleece Johnson grew up in Sterling, UT for the majority of her youth where she attended Manti Elementary, Ephraim Middle School, and Manti High School. She was a cheerleader at Manti High School until her family moved to Lehi at the age of 17 where she attended her senior year and graduated from Lehi High School in 1998. A few years after she graduated, she married Brian Johnson and they brought their precious daughter Darian into this world. Anyone that knew Chaleece would tell you that she was beautiful both inside and out.
Chaleece was an animal lover and enjoyed babying her cats, Smokey and Eddie. Growing up, she loved to be in charge around the house and was able to help raise her younger siblings. Chaleece was changing diapers at a very young age. She always looked out for her family and wanted to help in any way she could. She inherited this great trait from her father Glade; giving everything she had to help someone, even if it left her with nothing. She loved deeply and was never afraid to show or say it, which she learned from her mother Cheri. She will be greatly missed and remembered for her loving soul.
Chaleece is survived by her wonderful daughter Darian Johnson; parents: Cheri and Glade Denton; siblings: Layne (Aubrey) Denton, Makayla (Christian) Denton, Danielle (Tyson) Taylor, and Tanner Denton.
