C. H. Neff

1917 - 2014

Cornelius Hyrum "CH" Neff, 96, of Sevier, Utah, passed away February 18, 2014 in Richfield. He was born September 1, 1917 in Ed, Casey County, Kentucky to Louis and Ollie Lee Allen Neff. He married Myra Perkins Bates, April 12, 1935 in Holbrook, AZ. The marriage was solemnized June 8, 1949 in the Mesa AZ Temple. She preceded him in death March 3, 2000.

CH was an active member of the LDS Church, serving faithfully where ever he was asked. He and his wife worked two years in the London England Temple and over 13 years in the Manti Temple.

He worked as a farmer most of his life, raising everything from hay to pigs. He loved gardening and particularly growing dahlias. His grand and great-grandchildren have many memories of helping grandpa with his dahlias, making sure they were spaced far enough apart and deep enough.

CH is survived by his children, Heber (Glenna) Neff of Loa, Neal (Betty) Neff of Denver, Warren (Betty Jean) Neff of Grand Junction, CO, Louis (Ruth) Neff of Grand Junction, CO, Daniel (Judy) Neff of Loma, CO, Myrna (Richard) Jones of Sever, Myra (Orrin, deceased) Christensen of St. George, Naomi White of Cedar City; Many grand; great-grand; and great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, February 24, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Joseph Cemetery.
